TAPROOM MANAGER
Our experimental, small-batch brewery in Newark, Delaware is looking for a part-time taproom manager who has a strong passion for craft beer and a commitment to quality and world-class customer service.
HOURS
This is a part-time position that requires availability 3-4 days per week, which will be a combination of 1 Administrative Shift and 2-3 Taproom Shifts totaling 20-30 hours per week. Availability for special events, which will likely occur 3-4 times per year, is also required.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Taproom Manager shall supervise all areas of the Autumn Arch Beer Project taproom. The Manager shall tend bar and make retail sales during open hours, manage inventory, coordinate special events throughout the year, and lead the taproom room staff. Additionally, the Manager shall assist in planning and budgeting for the taproom. The ideal candidate is organized with a keen attention to detail, can effectively communicate with customers and fellow employees, possesses a personal commitment to cleanliness and efficiency, and loves craft beer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the staff and take responsibility for a consistent and pleasant customer experience
Work closely with ownership on a variety of projects
Drive hiring and staff training processes
Scheduling
Partner with brewery team to resolve operational obstacles
Manage efficient taproom purchasing and inventory
Develop, implement, and update procedures, programs & training
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Autumn Arch beer styles and how they are made
Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for customers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 + years restaurant or retail management experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to lead self and proactively improve the taproom experience
Ability to work flexible hours including a combination of weekdays, nights, and weekends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous restaurant management experience
Events planning and coordination experience
Advanced computer literacy – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation range $25-$35 per hour based on experience
